Prof. Manfred Spitzer

Professor of psychiatry, heads the University Psychiatric Hospital Ulm and the Transfer Center for Neuroscience and Learning, which he founded in 2004. Brain researcher working at the interface of mind and brain in the areas of cognitive and social neuroscience. With his books and TV programmes, he presents research findings and popularises neuroscience. Author of the bestsellers: “Digital Dementia”, “The Smartphone Epidemic”, “How the Brain Learns”.

Michał A. Michalski

Cultural expert, economist, researcher on the impact of the family on the economy and family policy. President of the Institute of Family and Social Studies, expert of the Polish Parents’ Forum, member of the Family Council at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. Director of the Centre for Research on Family and Demography at Collegium Intermarium and employee of the Department of Economic Ethics at the Institute of Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In 2021, he co-authored the research and reports entitled. “Costs of family and marriage breakdown in Poland” and “Pro-family solutions in private companies in Poland”.

Łukasz Cichocki

Doctor of Medical Sciences, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, academic teacher with over twenty years of experience. Head of the Psychiatry Clinic at the A.F. Modrzewski Krakow Academy and the Centre for Education, Research and Development at the J. Babiński Hospital in Krakow. Author of many scientific works, populariser of knowledge in the field of mental health. Member of the Board of the Polish Psychiatric Association, long-term president of the Polish-German Association for Mental Health. Social activist, president of the Institute for the Development of Social Initiatives. Privately: Husband, father of four children, in his free time likes sleeping, walking, reading – especially Sapkowski.

 

Roman Solecki

Educator, preventionist, certified speech therapist; addiction psychotherapist, mediator; Doctorate in Social Sciences dedicated to Youth Activity in Cyberspace. Bachelor’s degree in Family Counselling and Mediation. Basic course in Mediation in the Association “Polish Mediators”. Graduated from the Małopolska Centre of Addiction Therapist Training at the Józef Babiński Clinical Hospital in Kraków. Implementer of the prevention programme “Saper – how to defuse aggression among young people”; prevention and education programme “Archezja” and “Cuder”. Since 2006, he has cooperated with the Centre for Problem Prevention “Archezja” as an implementer of prevention and educational activities for children and young people. He conducts research on youth activity in cyberspace, prevention and therapy of media addiction, depression and sense of life among young people. Since 2020, he has coordinated the work of the Krakow Institute of Logotherapy.

Tomasz Lewandowski

Barrister, PhD in legal sciences. He deals with public international law, data protection law, international humanitarian law of armed conflict and the philosophy of international law. He is interested in: freedom of artistic expression, sovereignty in both international and domestic law, and the relationship between law and psychology.

Professionally associated with one of the largest law firms in Poland, SMM Legal Maciak Mataczyński Czech sp.k. Author of several publications on constitutional law, human rights protection, public international law and personal data protection. Speaker at international and national scientific conferences. Judge of the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Coach of student teams participating in moot court competitions.

Carries out scientific projects financed by the National Science Centre and the European Commission, often cooperates with foreign scientific centres. Winner of the Kulczyk Family Fund Scholarship and the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation in Poznań. In 2017, he received a special award in the Rising Stars Lawyers – Leaders of Tomorrow 2017 competition organised by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Wolters Kluwer Polska, which aims to identify young lawyers who stand out in their professional work and social attitude.
